About Ardmore

Ardmore, PA began as a suburb of Philadelphia settled by European colonizers in the 17th century. With the expansion of the Pennsylvania Railroad in the late 1800s, wealthy Philadelphians built homes in the area, establishing it as an affluent suburb. Ardmore’s central location made it attractive to businesses, leading to the establishment of many factories and mills. By the early 20th century, it became a popular shopping destination, and continued to prosper through the mid-20th century. Today, Ardmore is a thriving community with a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial areas. The town is known for its vibrant downtown district, which features a variety of shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Ardmore is also home to several parks and green spaces, including the popular Ardmore Park, which hosts community events and festivals throughout the year Ardmore is also known as the heart of the Main Line.
